Getting System Information

You retrieve information about specific systems, such as the system ID (SID), release, and installation number, as well as information about specific components such as the release and the Support Package level.

Prerequisites

You have configured Remote Function Call destinations.

You are authorized to perform the operation.

You have permission Service,Resource(SafeCustomOperation).

For more information, see Standard Permissions.

Procedure

Choose Operations.
Choose Systems from the tabs.
From the Operations dropdown of the instance, select the operation RFC Get System Information.
Optional: Select the Set Note chekbox and enter a note to be displayed in the Description column of the instance.
Choose Execute.

Results

System and component information are displayed in a dialog box.
