Installing Diagnostics Agents

You install Diagnostics Agents on selected SAP NetWeaver systems.

Prerequisites

You comply with all prerequisites described in SAP Note 2350235 SAP Landscape Management 3.0.
To install Diagnostics Agents, you need Software Provisioning Manager 1.0 SP07 or later.

You have configured Diagnostics Agents (un-)installations.

The system can be used for Diagnostics Agents (un-)installations.

For more information, see Enabling Systems for Provisioning Operations.

Choose Provisioning.
Choose Systems from the tabs.
The system displays the following:
- Systems enabled for cloning, copying, and renaming
- Systems enabled for SAP HANA system replication configuration
- Cloned and copied systems
- Systems enabled for application server (un-)installation
- Systems enabled for Diagnostics Agent (un-)installation
From the Provisioning dropdown for the system on which you want to install a Diagnostics Agent, choose Provision Diagnostics Agents Install Diagnostics Agent.
Follow the instructions on the screen.
- If one of the following steps, sections, or fields is not applicable, it is not displayed or not eligible for selection in the roadmap.
- If the validation generated one or more warnings, the navigation to a following step is canceled. To ignore warnings, choose the Ignore warnings for this step button and choose Next to proceed with the following steps.
- To validate the data entered in one of the workflow steps without triggering a navigation, choose the Validate Step button.
- To reset one of the workflow steps to its default values, choose the Reset Step button.
If you choose to register the Diagnostics Agent in the SAP Solution Manager, the Diagnostics Agent will also be assigned as Agent On-the-fly.
Choose Execute.

The monitoring screen appears, where you can view the log of all tasks involved in the process.
