Editing Custom Relations

You edit custom relations for example to change the name for the custom relation, or to change the source and target entity types.

Prerequisites

You know the entity relations that are created automatically by SAP Landscape Management.

You have permission VirtualResource,Pool,Network,Characteristic(Configure).

For more information, see Standard Permissions.

Choose Configuration Extensions Custom Relations.
Choose  Edit relation type.
Optional: Adapt the name for the custom relation.
Optional: Enter a description for the source role.

Example For a system copy, you enter source system.
Optional: Enter a description for the target role.

Example For a system copy, you enter copy.
Optional: Enter a note to provide more information about how the custom relation is used.
Optional: Select the source entity types required. You have the following options:
- System
- Instance
- Host
- Virtual Host
Optional: Select the target entity types required. You have the following options:
- System
- Instance
- Host
- Virtual Host
Choose Update Relation Type.

Assign the specific entities to be used for the custom relation globally.

Assign the custom relation directly under Configuration <Entity>.

You can then visualize your system landscape based on the custom relations.
