Importing the Configuration Data

You import configuration data to make this data available for performing operations in SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

You have exported the configuration data as an XML file and saved the file in a directory of your choice.
When importing tasks, you must ensure that the related instances and hosts are already configured in the landscape.

Procedure

Choose Setup Export, Import, Reset Import.

You can also import configuration data by choosing the Import button on the respective views.
Choose the exported XML file you want to upload.
Enter the password used for encryption during the export of configuration data.
Choose Load Configuration.
Navigate through the workflow and ensure that configuration data you want to import is selected or else deselect.

Entities with status Already exists will not be imported or overwritten.
Save your entries.

Results

Errors that may occur during the import of the configuration data are displayed in a dialog box and do not affect the import of valid configuration data.
