SAP Landscape Management 3.0, Enterprise Edition

Basic

You provide the basic data of the system to be refreshed and set the master password for operating system users and database users.

Procedure

  • To use an existing export of the system configuration, select the Export already exists checkbox.

If you use an existing export, the export phase during post-copy automation (PCA) is skipped.

For more information, see the description of the PCA step.

  • If you do not want to use an existing export, enter the export directory where you want to store the export. If no existing export is available, the central instance will be restarted when you start the refreshing process.
  • To delete all export files located under the default temp directory after import, select the Remove Export After Import checkbox.
  • Enter and confirm the master password for the system to be refreshed.
    • This password is used for the database users and as default password for the operating system (OS) users.

    • If desired, change the OS user passwords in the Users step.

    • The passwords of the SAP system users will not be changed; they are the same on both the source system and the target system.

For Windows, enter a Windows domain user and password, if required.

This is needed for the following:

    • To access and execute software provisioning manager executable files; for example, on a CIFS share

    • To create OS users within the same Windows domain

Ensure that this domain user has the appropriate permissions in the Active Directory.

Do not use a <sid>adm user, since this leads to problems during the system rename procedure.
