Passwords that are actively created or updated during SAP Landscape Management activities must follow the policy of the target environment, such as software provisioning manager, SAP HANA, operating system (OS), and SAP Landscape Management requirements for each scenario. SAP Landscape Management will issue error messages if a password does not follow internal policy.

In case passwords are used by SAP Landscape Management to connect on a single system by means that there are no passwords modified or changed, SAP Landscape Management will not perform a password policy check.

When exporting configuration data, SAP Landscape Management follows either the UME configured user-specific default policy, or the Landscape Management policy (if configured) for the user that triggers the export.
