Configuring Global User Interface Settings

You use this procedure to specify the general user interface (UI) settings for all users.

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathSetup Next navigation step SettingsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. On the User Interface tab, choose Edit.
  3. Specify your global settings.

    Default Size of UI Tables [lines]

    Enter the default size of the tables on the user interface.

    Default Time Interval of UI Auto Refresh [seconds]

    Enter a default time interval for the automatic refresh of the user interface. The default value is 60 seconds.

    Session Inactivity Interval [minutes]

    Setting for the maximum inactivity interval. If there's no user activity for the interval set, the session will expire.

    Operation Notes Always Required

    To display a dialog box for providing an operation note before you can execute an operation, select this checkbox.

    Activate Deprecated Web Dynpro Views (Search, Advanced Operations, Provisioning, Monitoring, Design and Custom Relations)

    To display the top level navigation for Design, Advanced Operations, Activities, Logs, Provisioning and Search in the Web Dynpro UI, select this checkbox.

    Display Individual Instance Operations

    To have instance operations performed as single operations, such as Prepare, Start, or Stop, select this checkbox.

    Limit activities displayed by default to last 7 days

    To display all activities by default in the Activities view, keep this checkbox deselected.

    To display only those activities in the Activities view that were executed within the last 7 days, select this checkbox.

    Limit controller logs displayed by default to last 7 days

    To display all controller logs by default in the Logs view, keep this checkbox deselected.

    To display only controller logs in the Logs view that were created within the last 7 days, select this checkbox.

    Maximum number of log details to be exported [log detail count]

    Specify the maximum number of log details to be exported when exporting log entries including log details.

    Threshold for Displaying Diagnostic Message for Controller Logs [log count]

    To display a diagnostic message whenever the number of controller log entries reaches the threshold value, enter the log count.

    Threshold for Displaying Diagnostic Message for Activities [activity count]

    To display a diagnostic message whenever the number of activity entries in the database reaches the threshold value, enter the activity count.
