Registering a Secondary Tier for System Replication
You register the secondary system with the primary system for system replication.
Prerequisites

You have permission Service(ForcedPrepare,ForcedUnPrepare,ForcedStart,ForcedStop).

You have configured and enabled the primary system so that you can register a secondary system with it.
For more information, see Enabling System Replication.

The secondary system has been stopped.

You are logged on to the host of the master name server as the root user on the secondary system.

If the host names of the primary and the secondary system are the same, change the host names used on the secondary system.

Check if the host name resolution works in both directions before you configure the secondary system for system replication.

You know the replication mode that you want to use.

The system status is Not Running.

Procedure
- Choose Operations.
- Choose Systems from the tabs.
- From the Operations dropdown for the instance, choose .
- Optional: Enforce complete data shipping.

Choose the replication mode:
- async
- sync
- syncmem
- Optional:
Choose the operation mode:
- delta_datashipping
- logreplay
- logreplay_redaccess
- As the remote host name, enter the name of the primary host that the secondary system registers with.
- As the site name, enter an alias to represent the secondary site.
- Optional: Select the Set Note checkbox and enter a note to be displayed in the Description column of the instance.
- Choose Execute.
