Unregistering System Replication Site on Primary

You unregister a system replication site on a primary system, if a secondary system is not available anymore. For example because it was uninstalled or is unrecoverable after a disaster, and the primary system needs to be cleaned up to be able to register a new site.

Prerequisites

  • You have permission Service(ForcedPrepare,ForcedUnPrepare,ForcedStart,ForcedStop).

  • The status of the primary system is Running Running.

  • The secondary system is down and will not try to reconnect at a later point in time.

  • You have not enabled the full sync option for your system.

  • You have read SAP Note 1945676 Information published on SAP site - Correct usage of hdbnsutil -sr_unregister.

Context

Procedure

  1. Choose Operations.
  2. Choose Systems from the tabs.
  3. From the Operations dropdown for the instance, choose Start of the navigation pathSAP HANA Replication Next navigation step Unregister System Replication Site on PrimaryEnd of the navigation path.
  4. Select the replication site name to be unregistered.
  5. Optional: Select the Set Note checkbox, and enter a note to be displayed in the Description column of the instance.
  6. Choose Execute.
