Executing Custom Operations

You execute custom operations.

Prerequisites

You have assigned the roles and groups required to perform the operation.

You have the permissions that are required to perform custom operations.

For more information, see Standard Permissions.
Optional: You have specified the timeout settings for custom operations.

For more information, see Configuring Operation Settings.

Procedure

Choose Operations.
Choose Systems from the tabs.
From the Operations dropdown for the instance, choose the custom operation required.

Results

If the custom operation is executed synchronously and exceeds the default timeout value, a dialog box appears. You have the following options:

To wait until the result dialog box is displayed, choose Wait.
If you choose Close, the result will not be displayed in a dialog box. To check the result, navigate to the Logs overview.
To change the default timeout value, specify the engine setting Timeout for Synchronous Operations[seconds].
