    Possible Values

    Description

Time Interval for Automatic Refresh of Internal Registries [seconds]

    60

    2 - 300

For performance reasons,SAP Landscape Management maintains internal registries or caches, for example for hosts and instances.

To keep these caches up-to-date, you must refresh them periodically (for example, by reloading data from the database).

The parameter specified defines how often the caches are refreshed.

Time interval for Automatic Wakeup of Activity Manager [seconds]

    20

    2 - 120

The activity manager is an asynchronous background task and sleeps most of the time. From time to time the manager wakes up and then triggers and monitors the execution of activities and activity steps. Afterwards, it sleeps again.

The parameter specified defines the time interval between subsequent wakeups.

Time Interval for Preservation of Activity Log Entries [hours]

    720

    24 - 8760

A background task runs once per week and performs the following:
    • Checks for activities and activity steps with an end time older than the value specified

    • Removes all activities with an end time older than the value specified and with status Completed, Failed, or Initial

Activities in status On Hold or Waiting cannot be removed. Consider to resume or cancel activities which are in status On Hold or Waiting. Keep in mind, that hosts and instances might be locked as long as the corresponding activites are not finished.

On the "Jobs" tab, you can see the completed jobs so you might check for executions of the cleanup job.

Multiplier of Activity Manager Wakeup Time Interval for Retrieval of Host Agent Log

    3

    1 - 10

SAP Host Agents and instance agents collect operation logs. From time to time these log entries are retrieved from the agents and inserted into the SAP Landscape Management log details.

This time interval is defined as: Specified parameter value * time interval for automatic wakeup of the activity manager.
  5. Save your entries.
