Accessing SAP HANA Cockpit

SAP HANA cockpit lets you perform aggregate monitoring of SAP database products, including SAP HANA, and manage the cockpits (management consoles) that manage the database products. You access SAP HANA cockpit from within SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

  • You have the permissions Service(Configure) and Service,Resource,VirtualResource(Observe).

  • You have detected and configured an SAP HANA 2.0 system of type HANA Cockpit.

  • Use a compatible Web browser to access SAP HANA cockpit.

  • You have a cockpit user name and password with the assigned role Cockpit Resource Administrator.

  • You have obtained a service key.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathOverview Next navigation step SAP Database Administration Next navigation step SAP HANA CockpitEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Configure a new SAP Database Administration.
  3. Select the instance.

    Only SAP HANA 2.0 instances assigned to a detected system of type HANA Cockpit are available for selection.

  4. Optional: Enter a display name for the tile to be displayed.
  5. Optional: If you cannot sign a server certificate with a CA that SAP Landscape Management trusts, switch Ignore SSL Server Certificates to ON.
  6. Optional: A default value for the controller endpoint is displayed. If required, adapt the controller endpoint.
  7. Enter the cockpit user name.
  8. Enter the cockpit user password.
  9. Enter the service key.
  10. Optional: Choose Test Connection.
  11. Save your entries.

    A new tile is displayed for accessing SAP HANA cockpit.

  12. Choose the tile created for the SAP HANA instance that you want to manage using SAP HANA cockpit.
