Adding Mount Point Configurations on System Level
You add mount point configurations on system level to mount export and backup files, or to transfer redo log files during a provisioning procedure.
Context
You configure mount points on system level for the following:
-
Storage of exports that are created during a system refresh process
- If you do not configure a mount point and the target host is not changed during the refresh process, you can specify a local directory during the refresh process.
- This mount point should not be part of the system directories, since it is not cloned during the refresh process.
-
Refresh SAP HANA databases using complete database backup files
-
Transfers of redo log files from the source system to the target system during online cloning or copying of Oracle databases
- The mount point directory should be empty and must not be part of the Oracle software installation, data files, or logs, since it is not cloned during the provisioning process.
- If you do not specify a mount point directory, SAP Landscape Management starts an automated cleanup at the end of each provisioning process.
