Configuring Advanced Operation Settings

You use this procedure to specify the general advanced operation settings.

Prerequisites

When using an ABAP system or LDAP as the backend for user management, use a local user of the SAP NetWeaver Java engine to perform the configuration. Otherwise, the jobs stop working if the user backend is unavailable.
You have the authorization to configure engine settings.

Procedure

Choose Setup Settings.
Choose Expert Mode.
On the Engine tab, choose Edit.

Specify your general advanced operation settings.

To use the default shutdown options defined in the operation settings, keep this checkbox deselected.
Show Confirmation Dialog for Mass Operations in: Operations-Systems	Checkbox deselected	Checkbox selected Checkbox deselected	To show a dialog box waiting for user confirmation before executing a mass operation on systems or instances, select this checkbox.
Show Confirmation Dialog for Mass Operations in: Operations-Hosts	Checkbox deselected	Checkbox selected Checkbox deselected	To show a dialog box waiting for user confirmation before executing a mass operation on hosts, select this checkbox.

Threshold for skipping non-executable entities popup [entity count]	1000	0 - 99999	When you execute a mass operation, a dialog box opens and you can choose to display all executable or non-executable entities. If the number of entities on which you execute a mass start, stop, or restart operation is higher than this value, SAP Landscape Management skips the dialog box and removes all non-executable entities. If desired, change the default value. Ensure that the value is smaller than the number of executable entities.
