Assigning Elements to Characteristic Values

You assign instances, hosts, or virtual hosts to characteristic values.

Prerequisites

You have configured the following:

The characteristic values are the nodes with the instances and hosts underneath them.

Select the item from the Characteristic Values of Characteristic area.
- To add the required instances, hosts, or virtual hosts to the selected characteristic value, choose Assign under Assigned Elements of Characteristic Value.
- To reassign elements from other characteristic values to the selected value, choose Change Assignment.
A dialog box displays the Assignment Selection.
Select or deselect instances, hosts, or virtual hosts from the dialog box and choose Assign.
To remove the instances, hosts, or virtual hosts that are assigned to a characteristic value, select the element and choose Unassign.
