Accessing SAP Database Control Center

SAP Database Control Center (SAP DCC) lets you perform aggregate monitoring of SAP database products, including SAP HANA, and manage the cockpits (management consoles) that manage the database products. You access SAP DCC from within SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

  • You have the authorization to access SAP DCC.

  • You have assigned the roles and groups required to access SAP DCC.

  • Use a compatible Web browser to access SAP DCC.

  • Optional: You have configured and enabled Single Sign-On for SAP DCC.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathOverview Next navigation step SAP Database Administration Next navigation step SAP Database Control CenterEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Configure a new SAP Database Administration.
  3. Provide the following information:
    Option Description

    Instance

    Select the instance.

    Display Name

    Optional: Enter a name for the tile to be displayed.

    Access Using HTTPS

    To use secured HTTPS when you connect to SAP HANA database control center with a Web browser, select this checkbox. If the checkbox is not selected, you use nonsecured HTTP.

    Alternative host name

    Optional: To point to a host name other than the host name of the current database, enter a host name.

    Alternative instance name

    Optional: By default, the browser points to http(s)://<host.name>:<port>/sap/hana/dbcc

    The value of the <port> is followed by the 2-digit SAP HANA instance number of the current instance.

    To point to another instance number, enter an instance number.

  4. Save your entries.

    A new tile is displayed to access SAP DCC.

  5. Choose the tile created for the SAP HANA instance that you want to manage using SAP DCC.

    The browser points you to: http(s)://<host.name>:<port>/sap/hana/dbcc.
