Configuring Notification Settings

You configure the settings to receive notifications when a specific event occurs.

Context

This includes the following settings:

  • E-Mail Notification Settings

  • E-Mail Configuration

  • E-Mail Template Settings

  • Custom Notification Settings

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathSetup Next navigation step SettingsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. On the Notification tab, choose Edit.
  3. Specify your global settings as follows:
    • E-Mail Notification Settings

      1. Select the events for which you want to send e-mail notifications.

      2. Enter the e-mail addresses to which you want to send the notifications.

    • E-Mail Configuration

      Ensure that the Java Mail Client Service is configured correctly in SAP NetWeaver Administrator. To verify if your e-mail configuration works, proceed as follows:

      1. Choose Send Test E-mail.

      2. Enter an e-mail address.

      3. Choose Send.

    • E-mail Template Settings

      Edit the content of the e-mail templates provided as required.

      Depending on the e-mail template, you can add the following placeholders:

      To send notifications to third party tools, enable the required custom notification.

  4. Save your entries.
