For more information, see Initial Landscape Setup

  • You have configured your infrastructure.

For more information, see Infrastructure Configuration.

  • You have installed instances that you want to prepare, unprepare, or relocate adaptively.

For more information, see Adaptive Design.

  • You have configured the initial entities.

For more information, see Initial Entities Configuration.

  • You have the authorization to perform the operation.

For more information, see Standard Permissions.

  • You have assigned the roles and groups required to perform the operation.

For more information, see Standard Roles and Groups.

  • There are no alerts assigned to the instance.

For more information, see Clearing Alerts.

  • There are no validation errors assigned to the instance.

Prerequisites for SAP HANA Instances

Additional prerequisites for SAP HANA instances are:

  • SAP HANA 1.0 Revision 81 or higher

  • SAP Host Agent 7.20 SP 191 or higher

  • SAP Adaptive Extensions

For more information, see SAP Adaptive Extensions.

  • SAP Host Agent must have write access to the operations.d subfolder. If this is not possible because the subfolder is a mounted NFS share, extract the latest SAP Adaptive Extensions into this share.

  • To manage and monitor SAP HANA as a database, make sure that:

    • You have installed the hdbclient on each SAP HANA host.
    • You have specified a database user either in the instance configuration or in the <HANA-SID> SAPDBCTRL hdbuserstore key for the <hana-sid>adm user.
  • The file system /usr/sap/<HANA-SID> is a local file system and must not be mounted.
