Configuring Custom Settings for System Provisioning

You configure application server instances or database instances to overwrite the standard instance selection of the standard system provisioning processes.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration Next navigation step SystemsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Select the application server or database instance you want to configure.
  3. On the Instance Details tab, choose Edit.
  4. Provide the following information:
    Option Description

    Custom Settings for Instance

    To overwrite the standard instance selection of the standard system provisioning processes, select this checkbox.

    Instance Used for System Cloning

    To include this instance in the system cloning process, select this checkbox.

    You can only deselect application server instances for cloning.

    For Java 7.X systems you have to select at least one application server instance.

    Instance Used for System Copy

    To include this instance in the system copy process, select this checkbox.

    Either the system database or the shadow database must be selected for copy. For Java 7.X systems you have to select at least one application server instance.

    Default Database Suspend Time-out

    If Online consistency is selected, enter the maximum suspend/backup time of the database during storage cloning.

  5. Save your entries.
