Registering and Starting an Instance Agent
You register and start an instance agent in a single or in a mass operation.
Prerequisites

The general prerequisites for instance operations have been met.

The instance status is
Partially prepared,
Unknown, or Host
Unreachable.
If the instance managed by the instance agent is running, you must not use this operation because you would cause the instance to be restarted.

The instance managed by the instance agent must not represent a database.

For Unix-like systems:
- Registers the instance agent in file /usr/sap/sapservices.
- Starts the instance agent.

For Windows systems:
If the instance managed by the instance agent is not running:- Registers the instance agent.
- Stops the instance agent.
- Starts the instance agent.
- Sets the instance agent status to
Running.
