Configuring Advanced Instance Settings

You configure advanced instances settings in terms of enabling to start TREX without any dependencies to the database and to SAP central services, to manage central instances like an application server instance, or to retrieve an universal unique ID.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration Next navigation step SystemsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Select the instance you want to configure.
  3. On the Instance Details tab, choose Edit.
  4. Provide the following information:
    Option Description

    Start TREX Without Database and SCS

    To start TREX without any dependencies to the database and to SAP central services, select this checkbox.

    Universal Unique ID for System (Optional)

    Choose Retrieve from Instance Agent.

    Manage Central Instance as AS Instance

    If this checkbox is selected, the central instance is managed and displayed like an application server instance. This means that the central instance can be started and stopped independently.

  5. Save your entries.
