Pod Types

This section describes the pod types that are available for your dashboard.

Pod

Description

Activities

An activity is a sequence of actions that are executed when an operation is triggered, for example, to stop a system. This pod shows the status of these actions, for example, successful or failed.

Activities Steps

This pod shows the various activity steps of all the activities.

Diagnostic Messages

This pod shows the latest diagnostic messages created by the system, for example, errors and warnings.

Hosts

Hosts are the physical or virtual hosts on which instances run. This pod shows the status of the hosts in the system.

Instances

Instances are the managed entities, for example, a complete SAP system or any set of components of an SAP system such as the central instance, database instance, dialog instances, or TREX. This pod shows the overall status of the individual instances.

Schedule Execution Status

This pod shows the status of scheduled operation templates or provisioning templates, for example, successful, future, warning, executing, or failed.

Schedule Status

This pod shows the status of templates that are available in the schedule. For example, active, on hold, inconsistent, or expired.

Storage Pools

This pod shows the usage data of the storage pools.

Storage Systems

This pod shows the usage data of the storage systems.

Storage Volumes

This pod shows the usage data of the storage volumes.

Systems

This pod shows the status of the systems.

Validation

This pod shows the status of all validations in the system.

Validation Details

Many validation steps are attached to each managed entity. This pod shows the status of all the validation steps in the system, as well as the number of instances, hosts, and virtual host provider in each state.

Virtual Host Provider

This pod shows the status of the various virtual providers or hypervisors in the system.

Virtual Hosts

A virtual host is the software implementation of a machine (that is, a computer) on which instances can run. Each virtual host is an isolated computing environment that runs an operating system and either an entire SAP system or any of its components (for example, instances).
