Viewing Activities

Receive an overview of activities that are currently running or have previously been executed.

Prerequisites

  • You have executed an operation on any required system.

    For more information, see Operations.

  • Optional: To set the default display to only those activities that have been executed within the last 7 days, you have configured the global user interface settings.

    For more information, see Configuring Global User Interface Settings.

  • Optional: To prevent activities and activity steps from being deleted from the database after 30 days by default, you have adapted the time limit in the engine settings.

    For more information, see Configuring Engine Settings.

  • Optional: To receive notifications when an activity reaches a status specified, you have enabled e-mail notifications or custom notifications for activities.

    For more information, see Configuring Notification Settings.

Context

An activity that represents individual operations on instances consists of several activity steps. You can view detailed information, such as the status of the activity steps, the dependencies between those activity steps, and the corresponding log details.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathMonitoring Next navigation step ActivitiesEnd of the navigation path.
  2. To view the details of an activity, select the required activity.
  3. To view the activities of a specific system, host, or user, use the search or select a filter.
