Viewing Logs

The log overview allows you to view basic information about an operation such as the operation ID, activity ID, date, status, application instance, and so on.

Prerequisites

  • You know the SAP Landscape Management log types.

    For more information, see Log Types.

  • You have permission Service,Resource,VirtualResource(Observe).

    For more information, see Standard Permissions.

  • Optional: To set the default display to only those logs that have been created within the last 7 days, you have configured the global user interface settings.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathMonitoring Next navigation step LogsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. From the navigation bar, choose the log type that you want to view:
    • Operation logs
    • Change logs
    • Archived operation logs
    • Archived change logs
  3. To view the details of a log in terms of the messages generated at different stages of execution, select the relevant log.
  4. To view log messages with a specific severity, use the filter.
