Add and provide the following information for the new characteristic:

Enter a unique name.
Description
Enter a description of the characteristic, if required.
Show As Column
To add a column for the characteristic to the overview table of the hosts,
systems, virtual host, or virtual host provider view, select this checkbox. The
name of the characteristic is then displayed in the table header of the
respective overview table. To hide the column of the characteristic created
from the overview table, you can then deselect the corresponding checkbox in
the table settings.
Cardinality
To assign an instance, host, or virtual host to a single
characteristic value of the characteristic, choose
Single.
To assign an instance, host, or virtual host to multiple
characteristic values of the characteristic, choose
Multiple.
On the Systems and Hosts
screen, the entities are visible under each value assigned, if grouped by the
characteristic.
Hosts
To assign hosts to the characteristic, select this checkbox.
Systems
To assign systems to the characteristic, select this checkbox.
Instances
To assign instances to the characteristic, select this checkbox.
Virtual Host
To assign virtual hosts to the characteristic, select this
checkbox.
Virtual Host Providers
To assign virtual host providers to the characteristic, select this
checkbox.
Provide the following information in the
Characteristic Values of Characteristic table for each created characteristic:
