Editing Provisioning Blueprints

You edit provisioning blueprints for example to add parameter or constraints.

Prerequisites

  • You have assigned the roles and groups required to perform the operation.

  • You have permission Blueprint(Manage).

    For more information, see Standard Permissions.

  • You know the constraints that you want to use for the provisioning blueprint.

    For more information, see Constraints.

  • You know the placeholders and value types that you can use to parameterize provisioning blueprints.

    For more information, see Placeholders.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathAutomation Studio Next navigation step Provisioning BlueprintsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. In the Actions column of the provisioning blueprint you want to edit, choose Edit provisioning blueprint.
  3. Optional: Edit the name for the provisioning blueprint.
  4. Optional: Enter a description to provide more information about the provisioning blueprint.
  5. Optional: A blueprint is visible for all users authorized to manage provisioning blueprints. To make this provisioning blueprint available on the operation screens and release it for execution, select the Released checkbox. Also users that are authorized to perform provisioning activities and perform operations can execute released provisioning blueprints.
  6. Define the group for the provisioning blueprint. You have the following options:
    • Choose an existing group.
    • Enter a name, to create a new group.
  7. Optional: To edit the parameters, choose the Parameters tab.
    All parameters of a provisioning blueprint are stored and displayed unencrypted.

    You have the following options:

    • Parameterize sensitive data as secure input parameters

    • Hardcode sensitive data within a secure custom property and reference the custom property within the provisioning blueprint

  8. Optional: For each custom placeholder added, SAP Landscape Management creates an entry in the Custom Placeholders section. Provide the following information:
    1. Choose the custom placeholder value type required.
    2. Enter the value for the parameter.
    3. Enter the label for the parameter.
    4. Enter a description for the parameter.
  9. Optional: To add constraints, choose the Constraints tab.
  10. Save the provisioning blueprint.
