Basic Configuration
You configure instances that are part of managed systems to allow SAP Landscape Management to manage these instances in the landscape.
Configuring General Instance Properties
You configure the general instance properties in terms of managed and operational
instances and specify the instance type and the source instance.
Configuring Custom Settings for System Provisioning
You configure application server instances or database instances to overwrite the
standard instance selection of the standard system provisioning processes.
Configuring Additional Instance Information
You configure additional instance information in terms of custom instance names,
descriptions, or the target status.
Configuring Advanced Instance Settings
You configure advanced instances settings in terms of enabling to start TREX without
any dependencies to the database and to SAP central services, to manage central instances
like an application server instance, or to retrieve an universal unique ID.
Configuring Databases
You configure database credentials, configuration directories, and database
names.
Specifying SQL Ports for Tenant Databases
Every tenant database has dedicated ports for SQL communication. If required, you
specify an SQL port, other than the default.
Retrieving SAP Profile Parameters
You retrieve SAP profile parameters needed for system provisioning.
Configuring Custom Properties for Instances
Custom properties are passed to any custom operation or custom hook which is executed
on this instance with the prefix PROP- <Property Name>
. For custom instances, these parameters are also passed to the start,
stop, attach, and detach operations.
Assigning Custom Relations and Target Entities
If you have configured custom relations, you can assign a custom relation type and the
target entity.
