Configuring Custom Dependencies

You configure dependencies of custom instances or other databases.

Prerequisites

You have created custom instances or detected a database as other database.

Provide the following information in the Custom Dependencies (Optional) area:

Field	Description
Dependency Type	Select one of the following options: Start Before The instance will be started before the selected instance, and will be stopped after the selected instance. Start After The instance will be started after the selected instance and stopped before the selected instance. Note Internal dependencies are still in place. Ensure that your custom dependencies do not interfere with the internal dependencies. Example A database must be started before an central instance. If you configure a custom instance to be started before a database but after a central instance, this will interfere with the internal dependencies.
Instance Name	Choose the instance name.

Select one of the following options:

Start Before

The instance will be started before the selected instance, and will be stopped after the selected instance.
Start After

The instance will be started after the selected instance and stopped before the selected instance.

Instance Name

Choose the instance name.
