Specifying Configuration Directories of Database Instances

You specify configuration directories of database instances.

Context

The configuration directory is required for relocating database instances.

Procedure

Choose Configuration Systems.
Select the database instance you want to configure.
On the Instance Details tab, choose Edit.

Proceed as follows:

Configuration Directory	This field is automatically filled during stop operations. To retrieve the directory that is created when performing a detach or prepare clone, copy, rename, or refresh operation, choose Retrieve Default Directory. The default directory is used to store database specific information about the installation or about the software status during a system copy. When you change the default location, you must ensure that you also move the configuration files when required. For example that it is possible to read the configuration files required for an attach process.
