Example: Launching ABAP Task Manager

You create a link to launch SAP Logon, call transaction STC01 to open the ABAP task manager for lifecycle management automation, and transfer a parameter from SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

SAP Logon is installed on the client.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathUI Customizations Next navigation step LinksEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Create.
  3. Provide the following information:
    Option Description

    Name

    Enter SAP Logon.

    Entity Type

    Choose Instance.

    URL

    Enter /lvm/SAPGui?saprouter=<saprouter>&host=<hostCom>&instnr=<instanceno>&SID=<sid>&client=000&cmd=stc01%20GV_SCENARIO_ID=SAP_BASIS_COPY_BDLS&.

  4. Choose Create Link.
  5. Choose Start of the navigation pathOperations Next navigation step SystemsEnd of the navigation path.
  6. Select an instance.
  7. On the Instance Details tab, choose Start of the navigation pathLinks Next navigation step SAP LogonEnd of the navigation path.

Results

In the launched URL, the placeholders are replaced with the details of the selected instance. Transaction STC01 opens with parameter SAP_BASIS_COPY_BDLS.
