SAP Landscape Management 3.0, Enterprise Edition

Configuring SAP Test Data Migration Server

You configure SAP Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) to execute SAP TDMS stand-alone data scrambling during a system refresh procedure.

Prerequisites

  • You comply with all prerequisites for stand-alone scrambling described in the How-to Guide How to Scramble Data Using SAP Test Data Migration Server on SAP Help Portal at https://help.sap.com/viewer/p/SAP_TEST_DATA_MIGRATION_SERVER.

  • In the TDMS work center, you have prepared the following:
    • You have created a project template that includes TDMS stand-alone scrambling solution.

    • You have created a project based on the template created to execute the stand-alone conversion package for Logical System Rename.

    • You have configured a TDMS scrambling package in the project created.

Context

Data scrambling in SAP Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) is designed to protect confidential and sensitive data from unauthorized users by making the data anonymous in the non-production system.

In SAP Landscape Management you configure only one TDMS control system where you store all TDMS scrambling-specific settings. To connect this system with the execution system that you want to refresh, configure the RFC destination.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration Next navigation step SystemsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Under Overview, select the system where TDMS is installed.
  3. On the System Details tab, choose Edit.
  4. Navigate to the Provisioning & RFC step.
  5. Select the Use as TDMS Control System checkbox.
  6. Configure the RFC destination.
  7. Save your entries.
