ABAP PCA

You specify task lists or task list variants and clients on which you want to execute post-copy automation (PCA).

Prerequisites

  • You have read the ABAP Post-Copy Automation Installation and Configuration Guides.

  • You have identified the task lists or task list variants you want to execute.

  • You have ensured, that the following is identical on the source and the target system:

    • Software version
    • Post-copy automation SAP Notes
    • Task lists
    • Optional: Task list variants

Context

SAP Landscape Management automatically proposes default task lists that are delivered by SAP depending on your source system.

Procedure

  1. Provide the following information:
    Option Description

    Apply Master Password to all configured RFC Destinations

    To change the passwords of all configured remote function call (RFC) destinations to the master password, select the checkbox.

    Automatically open the firewall to remote systems and confirm that automated post-copy activities are completed

    This checkbox is only available when refreshing an SAP Business Warehouse (SAP BW) system or a system that is connected to an SAP BW system as SAP BW source system. To automatically confirm these manual activities, select the checkbox.

  2. Optional: Change or remove the default task lists or add further task lists and task list variants.
  3. Check the tasks and parameter settings of your task lists and task list variants as follows:
    1. Select the task list or task list variant.
    2. Choose Modify Parameters.
    3. Optional: Adapt the parameter settings.
      To adapt the task lists or task list variants to your needs, we recommend to use the ABAP task manager for lifecycle management automation. Choose Task Manager to directly launch the ABAP task manager for lifecycle management.
  4. For each task list or task list variant, select the client.
    Ensure that SAP Landscape Management executes your default task list on client 000 first.

Results

SAP Landscape Management executes task lists sequentially in the order they are listed in the Post-Copy Automation table.
