Configuring Remote Function Call Destinations

You configure Remote Function Call (RFC) destinations.

Prerequisites

  • You want to execute RFC operations in the system.

    For more information, see Remote Function Call Operations.

  • You want to call post-copy automation within the ABAP system during the copy, refresh, or rename processes.

    For more information, see Provisioning Systems.

  • You want to use an ABAP function module as provider implementation definition.

    For more information, see Provider Definitions.

  • You want to execute SAP Test Data Migration Server (TDMS) stand-alone data scrambling during a system refresh process.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration Next navigation step SystemsEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Select a system in the Overview table.
  3. In the System Details screen area, choose Edit.
  4. Navigate to the Provisioning & RFC step.
  5. Select the Configure RFC Destination checkbox and provide the following information:
    Option Description

    SAP System User Name

    Enter the user name used for the SAP system logon.

    SAP System Password

    Enter the password used for the SAP system logon.

    SAProuter String

    Enter the SAProuter string, if required.

    Default Application Server

    Select the application server you want to connect to.

    Language

    Enter the language for the SAP system logon.

    Client

    Enter the client for the SAP system logon.

  6. To add RFC destinations for executing post-copy automation task lists, choose Add and enter the required data.
  7. Save your entries.
