You edit custom hooks for example to change the name of the custom hook, adapt the hook
type, or hook operation.
Procedure
Choose Automation StudioCustom Hooks.
Choose Edit custom hooks.
Optional: Adapt the name for the custom hook.
Optional: Choose the name of the corresponding provider definition.
Optional: Choose the entity type on which this custom hook can be executed.
Optional: Choose the operation, the hook applies to.
Optional: Choose the type of hook.
Optional: To start the custom hook in parallel with other subsequent process steps,
select the Background Step checkbox. No subsequent
process step depends on this hook.
This checkbox is only available for post and error hooks.
Optional: To retrieve secure parameters, select the Retrieve Secure
Parameters checkbox.
All required credentials for the current combination of database and operating
system such as schema, <SID>adm, and DB superadministrator are secure
parameters. The operations Software Provisioning Manager,
User management, or custom operations for example,
contain secure parameters.
Optional: Enter a dynamic caption that you want to display on the
Activities and Logs tab.
