Changing Replication Modes
The replication mode can be changed without having to go through a full data shipping from the primary to the secondary afterwards.
Prerequisites

You have permission Service(ForcedPrepare,ForcedUnPrepare,ForcedStart,ForcedStop).

You know the replication mode that you want to use.

The status of the secondary is
Not Running or 
Running.
Procedure
- Choose Operations.
- Choose Systems from the tabs.

From the Operations dropdown for the secondary, choose
SAP HANA Replication 
Change Mode of
System Replication
.

Choose the replication mode:
- async
- sync
- syncmem
- Optional: Select the Set Note checkbox and enter a note to be displayed in the Description column of the instance.
- Choose Execute.
