Initial Setup Using the Configuration Wizard

You use this procedure to configure the components of SAP Landscape Management using the configuration wizard.

Prerequisites

  • You have installed SAP Landscape Management.

  • Because the configuration wizard allows you to create SAP Landscape Management users, think about the number and type of users that you want to create before executing the configuration wizard. You can create users later, but you would have to either use SAP NetWeaver Administrator and be sure to assign the correct roles, or you would have to execute the configuration wizard again to create users with SAP Landscape Management roles.

Procedure

  1. Log on to SAP NetWeaver Administrator using the following link: http://<local host>:<http port>/nwa
  2. Choose Start of the navigation pathConfiguration Next navigation step Scenarios Next navigation step Configuration WizardEnd of the navigation path.
  3. Choose Initial Setup for SAP Landscape Management.
  4. Choose Start.
  5. Select one of the following configuration modes:

    Configuration Mode

    Description

    Typical

    Applies the default values and enables the default functional units for the usage types you installed.

    Custom

    Allows you to choose the value for each parameter and to define which functional units to enable.

  6. Choose Next.
  7. Enter the J2EE administrator password.
  8. Choose Next.
  9. Enter the default credentials for SAP Host Agent.
  10. Choose Next.
  11. In the Custom configuration mode, select the required engine settings.
    Option Description

    Create default links available in SAP Landscape Management

    To create default links in SAP Landscape Management, select this checkbox.

    Enable Change ID

    To assign a change ID to changes made in SAP Landscape Management, select this checkbox.

    A dialog box then appears after changes have been made in SAP Landscape Management. The change ID entry is optional.

    SAP Landscape Management displays change IDs in the logs and in the activity header.

    Mandatory Change ID

    To assign a change ID to changes made in SAP Landscape Management, select this checkbox.

    A dialog box then appears after changes have been made in SAP Landscape Management. The change ID entry is mandatory.

    SAP Landscape Management displays change IDs in the logs and in the activity header.

  12. Choose Next.
  13. Optional: To create a copy of the UME groups to be used in SAP Landscape Management, select Create Duplicate Group and provide the group details.
  14. Choose Next.
  15. If you want to create users, select Create User and provide the user details.
  16. Choose Next and wait until the configuration is complete.

Results

You are ready to prepare the landscape.

You can now access SAP Landscape Management using the following URL: http://<host>:<port>/lama
