Landscape Configuration

During landscape configuration, you configure SAP Landscape Management in an IT landscape, and integrate all different components of an adaptive computing environment into SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

  • You have carried out the initial setup of SAP Landscape Management using the configuration wizard.

  • You have configured the Java mail client service to enable e-mail notifications.

  • You have the required authorizations to configure the landscape.

Procedure

  1. Configure the global settings for SAP Landscape Management.

    For more information, see Initial Landscape Setup.

  2. Configure your network, and - if required - integrate any partner virtualization technology needed and add application servers to your existing SAP systems.

  3. Integrate your managed landscape data into SAP Landscape Management.

  4. Optional: Configure system provisioning settings to clone, copy, rename, or refresh systems.

  5. Optional: Configure custom settings, such as custom operations and hooks for SAP Landscape Management.

Results

You can now use SAP Landscape Management to manage large-scale system landscapes containing instances and hosts.
