SAP Landscape Management 3.0, Enterprise Edition

New Features in SP7

Feature

Description

SAP HANA Replication Status based on SAP HANA HA/DR Hook

Before triggering a takeover operation, SAP Landscape Management now checks on a defined central share (repository) if the replication between the systems is in sync.

SAP HANA Replication Status Central Repository

You can create an SAP HANA replication status repository to collect SAP HANA replication status information.

SAP Adaptive Extensions Repository on Windows

You can create SAP Adaptive Extensions repositories on Windows and store SAP Adaptive Extensions files in a repository on a central share. Whenever needed, SAP Landscape Management detects or checks these data files for an SAPACEXT upgrade or downgrade operation on a host chosen randomly.

Rename SAP HANA 2.2 Tenants and Systems with Tenant Databases

You can now also rename an SAP HANA 2.2 and later tenant database or systems with tenant databases assigned to change system ID, host names, instance numbers, and mount points.

Move Tenant (Near Zero Downtime)

You can move SAP HANA tenant databases from one SAP HANA system to another with near-zero downtime. After a move, the original tenant database is deleted and the new tenant database takes over.

Local Search

You can now use the local search field available on various screens.

UI Refresh

You can configure the time interval for the automatic refresh individually per screen.

Visualization

From the context menu of entities displayed in the visualization, you can now choose to perform operations.

Custom Process Global Parameters

When creating custom processes, you can define global parameters and map them to step parameters.

Automation Studio Design Tab

The design tab has been removed from the Web Dynpro user interface. You can now manage the provider definitions, custom operations, custom hooks, custom notifications, custom provisioning, custom tabs, custom links, custom properties, and custom relations using the UI5 user interface.

Code Editor for Blueprints

A new code editor for parameterizing blueprints is now available.

REST Application Programming Interface

New REST API methods are now available to create and modify hosts, instances, and systems and to retrieve information about relations and validations.
