Replaceable Provisioning Steps

This section provides an overview of provisioning steps that you can replace.

Storage Clone	Prepare Clone Volumes	Source System Target System	Useful for operations which have to be performed before the physical cloning and do not require database consistency.
Storage Clone	Clone Volumes	Source System Target System	You can use the SAP Landscape Management consistency, if you configure a replacement for this operation for the source database. Note Only available for storage cloning on the target system.
Storage Clone	Restore Backup	Target System	Note Only available for storage cloning on the target system.
Storage Clone	Post Clone Volumes	Source System	Useful for operations which have to be performed after the physical cloning and do not require database consistency.
Storage Clone	Post-Process Clone Volumes	Target System	Useful for activities which are not consistency relevant but must be executed before the instance can be prepared.
Storage Clone	Restore Backup After Prepare	Target System	Note Only available for storage cloning on the target system. Executed after the prepare step. The prepare step mounts file systems and virtual host names if configured in SAP Landscape Management.
Storage Clone	Finalize Clone Volumes	Source System Target System	These steps are executed in the background. Example Split mirror if clone file system can be mounted and accessed.
System Rename	Software Provisioning Manager		Replacements have to recover, rename, and register the instances. SAP Landscape Management executes the software provisioning manager for all not assigned instances.
