This section provides an overview of the status for virtual hosts.

Active |
Virtual host is powered on. Usually this means that the OS is up and running. Depending on the virtualization technology, an active virtual host can be deactivated, suspended, or migrated. |
Defined |
Virtual host is powered on. This means that the OS is definitely down. Depending on the virtualization technology, a defined virtual host can be activated or migrated. |
Suspended |
Virtual host is powered off. Usually this means that an active virtual host was stopped and the RAM was written to persistent memory. Depending on the virtualization technology, a suspended virtual host can be activated or migrated. |
Unknown |
The system could not retrieve a valid virtual host status from the virtualization manager. This can be caused by a problem with the virtual host or an internal error. |
