Scheduling Operation Templates

You schedule an operation template.

Prerequisites

  • You have set the time zone appropriately.
  • You have saved an operation template.

  • You have assigned the roles and groups required to perform the operation.

  • You have permission OperationTemplate(Schedule).

    For more information, see Standard Permissions.

  • Optional: You have configured custom notifications.

    For more information, see Creating Custom Notifications.

Procedure

  1. Choose Start of the navigation pathAutomation Studio Next navigation step SchedulesEnd of the navigation path.
  2. Choose Create.
  3. Enter a name for the template schedule.
  4. Optional: Enter a description for the template schedule.
  5. Select the template type Operation.
  6. Select the operation template that is already saved.
  7. To define the start date, start time, and the recurrence choose the Scheduling Details tab.

    By default one-time execution is preconfigured.

    1. Optional: Specify the Start Date for the execution.
    2. Optional: Specify the Start Time for the execution.
    3. Optional: To schedule a recurring assignment, select the Recurrence checkbox and provide the the necessary information. You have the following options:
      • Hourly

      • Daily

      • Monthly

      • Yearly

      • Week Days:

        Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday

      • End Date

      • End Time

  8. To enable E-Mail notifications or custom notifications that you have created, choose the Notification Settings tab and provide the the necessary information.
  9. Save your entries.

Results

You have scheduled an operation template.

Next Steps

  • To stop the template from being executed, choose Hold. You can then resume the operation template execution at any point in time by choosing Release.

  • To delete the template from the schedule, choose Delete.
