Scheduling Operation Templates

You schedule an operation template.

Prerequisites

You have set the time zone appropriately.
Note SAP Landscape Management displays the time zone that is set as the default option in the Time Zone field when the user profile is created. If no time zone is set when the user profile is created, SAP Landscape Management displays the time zone in which the central system runs as the default time zone. To change the time zone, choose the required time zone from the available list.
You have saved an operation template.

You have assigned the roles and groups required to perform the operation.

You have permission OperationTemplate(Schedule).

Optional: You have configured custom notifications.

For more information, see Creating Custom Notifications.

Choose Automation Studio Schedules.
Choose Create.
Enter a name for the template schedule.
Optional: Enter a description for the template schedule.
Select the template type Operation.
Select the operation template that is already saved.
To define the start date, start time, and the recurrence choose the Scheduling Details tab.

By default one-time execution is preconfigured.
1. Optional: Specify the Start Date for the execution.
2. Optional: Specify the Start Time for the execution.
3. Optional: To schedule a recurring assignment, select the Recurrence checkbox and provide the the necessary information. You have the following options:
  - Hourly
  - Daily
  - Monthly
  - Yearly
  - Week Days:
    
    Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday
  - End Date
  - End Time
  Example
  
  If you choose to recur the schedule every 5 hours, with start time 12:47, the template execution times are 15.47, 20.47, 00.47, 05.47, 10.47, 15.47.
  
  If you choose to recur every 3 month, the template execution months are January, April, July, and October.
To enable E-Mail notifications or custom notifications that you have created, choose the Notification Settings tab and provide the the necessary information.
Save your entries.

You have scheduled an operation template.

To stop the template from being executed, choose  Hold. You can then resume the operation template execution at any point in time by choosing  Release.
To delete the template from the schedule, choose  Delete.
