Stopping Replicated Multi-Tier SAP HANA Systems

You stop nodes of a replicated multi-tier SAP HANA system.

Context

A replicated multi-tier SAP HANA system has dependencies between the primary tier and the secondary tier (replication tier). Standby nodes do not have any dependencies. Stopping a node in the secondary tier affects replication.

To stop a master node or the worker node in the secondary tier, you have the following options:

Procedure

  • To include the dependencies, choose Stop.

A dialog box appears and forces you to include the dependencies for a stop operation.

  • To ignore the dependencies, choose Start of the navigation pathForced Next navigation step Forced StopEnd of the navigation path.

The system ignores any dependencies and stops the instance.
