Deactivating (Power Off) Virtual Elements

You stop SAP instances running on the virtual host and disconnect the virtual systems from the power supply.

Prerequisites

  • You have permission VirtualResource(Activate,DeactivateSoft,DeactivateHard,Suspend,Migrate,Reboot,Resize).

  • The virtual element status is Active Active.

Procedure

  1. Choose Operations.
  2. Choose Cloud or Virtualization from the tabs.
  3. From the Operations dropdown of the virtual element, choose Deactivate (Power Off).

    To deactivate a set of virtual elements, choose Start of the navigation pathMass Operations Next navigation step Deactivate (Power Off)End of the navigation path and ensure that the entities on which you want to execute the operation are displayed and selected.

  4. Optional: Select the Set Note checkbox and enter a note to be displayed in the Information column of the virtual element.
  5. Choose Execute.

Results

  1. Stops the SAP instances running on the virtual hosts.

  2. Disconnects the virtual systems from the power supply.
