Initial Entities Configuration

You integrate managed landscape data into SAP Landscape Management.

Prerequisites

You have configured your infrastructure.

Procedure

  1. Enable the logical grouping of your individual instances and hosts, based on the type of user, landscape, time zones, and so on.

  2. Make hosts available for performing operations.

    For more information, see Adding Hosts.

  3. Enable starting, stopping, and relocating instances according to the hosts available.

    For more information, see Configuring Hosts.

  4. Make the individual instances, such as the central instance, database instance, dialog instance, TREX instance, or liveCache available for performing operations.

  5. Enable to manage your instances in the landscape.

    For more information, see Configuring Instances.

  6. Optional: Reassign instances to another system.

    For more information, see Reassigning Instances.

  7. Enable to manage your systems in the landscape.

    For more information, see Configuring Systems.

  8. Optional: Configure characteristics and define attributes for the characteristics according to the needs of your company.

Results

You can now use SAP Landscape Management to manage your system landscapes.
