SAP Landscape Management 3.0, Enterprise Edition

Authentication Stacks

This section provides an overview of the authentication stacks used by SAP Landscape Management.

SAP Landscape Management is delivered with several policy domains. In general, these policy domains do not come with a preconfigured authentication stack. Consequently, the default stack configured for the SAP NetWeaver Application Server for Java is used.

SAP Landscape Management requires that all domains can access the same user logon session without user interaction after the first successful logon. This can be achieved by a single global default configuration leveraging TicketLoginModules.

Please note that, as an exception, the following policy domains are delivered with a basic default authentication stack configuration. Basic authentication might be required if you access these endpoints directly by means of a program. Consider changing these default configurations if you do not use them in an automated process or if you support authentication methods other than Basic.
