Release Note Summaries
With this release, SAP Concur is proud to announce that all default segment types (except for Travel Allowance and Mileage), expense types and custom segments - with their form and layout - are now available for Concur Request mobile users within the mobile app.
Supported default segment and expense types available in the mobile app include the following:
Air
Car Rental
Dining
Event
Hotel
Limo
Parking
Rail
Taxi
Miscellaneous
Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This update provides mobile users with broader access to Concur Request options in the SAP Concur mobile app.
SAP Concur has updated the usability of the Travel Allowance functionality on the SAP Concur mobile app. When a user deletes an expense claim that has an associated travel allowance itinerary, the itinerary will also be deleted.
If the user wants to preserve a travel allowance itinerary, they can disassociate it from the claim before deleting the claim.
If the travel allowance itinerary is associated with more than one claim (rare case), it will not be deleted when one of the associated claims is deleted.
Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This update will reduce support calls to the help desk. Users who delete claims usually try to re-create them and do not always understand why the itinerary dates are not available for a new itinerary in a new claim. Deleting the itinerary allows the user to start the travel allowance itinerary creation process with a new claim.
With this release, SAP Concur is proud to introduce the new deprecation policy for the mobile app. With this new policy, SAP Concur is no longer managing the requirements of the older versions of the mobile app, which allows resources to focus on current mobile features and enhancements. It also defines the process of marking attributes or features that should be inaccessible to users.
When the current mobile app version on a user’s device is older than the two latest versions, SAP Concur notifies them - through a Message Centre message and push notifications – that they are no longer using a supported version of the app.
When the current mobile version of the app is older than the last 7 versions, users see an upgrade notice on the login page and are no longer able to access the SAP Concur mobile app on their mobile device. Targeted for April 2020 (9.79), users with versions older than 9.73 lose access to the SAP Concur mobile app.
For more information about the retention policy, review this FAQ (English only).
Additional information about this policy will be provided in future release notes.
Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This policy encourages users to use the most recent version of the mobile app with current features available on the app. It also provides users with more stable versions of the app that are better maintained.
Planned Change Summaries
The items in this section are summaries of the changes targeted for future releases. SAP Concur reserves the right to postpone implementation of – or completely remove – any enhancement/change mentioned here.
IMPORTANT: These Planned Changes may not be all of the upcoming enhancements and modifications that affect this SAP Concur product or service. The Planned Changes that apply to multiple SAP Concur products and/or services are in a consolidated document. Please review the additional Planned Changes admin summaries available in the January 2020 Shared Planned Changes Professional Edition Admin Summary.
Targeted for the first quarter of 2020, the Mobile Sign In page will be redesigned and improved. The enhancements will improve the user experience, improve security and simplify configuration. It will also assist customers who use more than one Identity Provider (like OKTA or Azure) for Single Sign-On (SSO).
There will be additional changes, which will be described in future release notes.
