Budget Insight

**Planned Changes** Budget Insight (Legacy) to Retire in 2019

Budget Insight is a budget management tool that is being retired on 31 December 2019. It is recommended that clients who want to use budget functionality purchase the new Budget product that SAP Concur released last year. The new Budget feature offers greater functionality, an improved UI and additional integrations with SAP Concur products. Most notable is the inclusion of additional expense data from Concur Expense, Concur Invoice and Concur Request (previously only data from Concur Expense and Concur Request was available).

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: The retirement of Budget Insight will provide clients with the opportunity to purchase the new Budget product, which gives greater value to clients by making budgets visible, actionable and near real-time.

File Transfer Updates

**Planned Changes** New SAP Concur IP Address (EMEA) (23 Nov, 2019)

This release note is intended for technical staff responsible for file transmissions with SAP Concur. For our customers and suppliers participating in data exchange through various secure file transfer protocols, SAP Concur is making changes that provide greater security for those file transfers.

SAP Concur will change the IP address for st-eu.concursolutions.com from 84.14.175.233 to 46.243.56.11 on 23 November, 2019.

Clients whose file transfers protocols use the SAP Concur DNS endpoint (st-eu.concursolutions.com) to connect are not impacted by this change.

Clients who connect via IP address will need to connect to the SAP Concur DNS endpoint (st-eu.concursolutions.com) or the new IP address as of 23 November, 2019.

SAP Concur recommends connecting to DNS endpoint st-eu.concursolutions.com to avoid connection issues if the SAP Concur IP address changes.

This announcement pertains to the following file transfer DNS endpoint:

  • st-eu.concursolutions.com

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This change provides greater security for file transfers.

**Planned Changes** Mandatory SFTP with SSH Key Authentication

This release note is intended for technical staff responsible for file transmissions with SAP Concur. For our customers and suppliers participating in data exchange through various secure file transfer protocols, SAP Concur is making changes that provide greater security for those file transfers.

Non-SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) protocols and SFTP password authentication will no longer be allowed to connect to SAP Concur products as of 7 December, 2020:

  • Existing non-SFTP file transfer accounts need to switch to SFTP with SSH Key Authentication before 7 December, 2020.

  • Existing SFTP file transfer accounts that use password authentication must switch to use SSH key authentication before 7 December, 2020.

  • SFTP password reset requests require the client to provide an SSH key for authentication.

This announcement pertains to the following file transfer DNS endpoints:

  • st.concursolutions.com

  • st-eu.concursolutions.com

  • st-cge.concursolutions.com

  • st-cge-dr.concursolutions.com

  • vs.concursolutions.com

  • vs.concurcdc.cn

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: These changes provide greater security for file transfers.

RELEASE: Source IP Checking (EMEA)

This feature/change has been targeted for release. For information about this feature/change, refer to the applicable product release notes.

Financial Integration (Standard Edition Only)

**Planned Changes** Xero Accounting Integration Early Adopter Release

Targeted for November, SAP Concur and Xero will be partnering to make accounting for expenses in Xero Accounting easier via an Early Adopter release.

With this release, Concur Standard Edition will enable participating clients to import Xero Accounting data (master data) into their SAP Concur configuration. This data will allow clients to utilise their unique accounting data when entering expenses and/or invoices. The data will be updated in SAP Concur regularly. The master data export will load employee and invoice vendors/suppliers from Xero Accounting to SAP Concur during the implementation.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This integration will make it easier for clients to manage their accounting information in both SAP Concur and Xero Accounting.

Miscellaneous

**Planned Changes** Support for TLS v 1.1 Encryption Protocol to End in First Quarter of 2020

SAP Concur is announcing an end-of-support cycle for version 1.1 of the Transport Layer Security (TLS) encryption protocol, while continuing support for the more secure version 1.2 of TLS. As background, the TLS protocol allows secure back and forth communications between a phone or computer and a cloud-based service.

This change is currently planned for the first quarter of 2020.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: SAP Concur is taking this step after careful consideration of our customers’ security and ease of upgrade to the newer, more secure version 1.2 of TLS. This end-of-support plan for TLS v 1.1 ensures our clients are communicating with SAP Concur solutions in a safer and more secure manner using TLS v 1.2.

**Planned Changes** Retire the Pause Delegation Feature

Currently, delegates/proxies/assistants/arrangers who act on behalf of others and who also have any of several administrative roles/permissions can pause their act-as session while they complete admin tasks. This feature is a benefit for the admin who might be testing configuration changes or simply has to multi-task. Unfortunately, it also has security implications.

Due to internal security changes, we are deprecating this feature.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: Retiring this feature closes a potential security gap.

**Planned Changes** Abbreviated Service Access Page

Currently, if a user attempts to sign in to an SAP Concur service and the service is not available, a message appears stating that the entire site is down.

In fact, some services may be available. Targeted for November, if services are available, an abbreviated service access page appears for the user, allowing the user to access those services.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This enhancement allows users to complete some tasks that may not be affected by the unavailability of one or more services.

Product Settings (Standard Edition Only)

**Planned Changes** Continued UI Enhancements for Custom Fields

The Manage Custom Fields module in Product Settings will continue to have user interface (UI) updates. The planned UI updates will change the look and feel of some existing features or settings. Some small, new feature enhancements may also be added, but these features will be relatively minor. No existing features or functionality will be removed. Some changes will be targeted to align with upcoming releases while other, smaller changes will occur without notice.

The following pages will receive UI updates:

  • Manage Custom Fields

  • Add New Field

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: These updates improve custom field management by providing a better end user experience.

**Planned Changes** Updated Email Invitation for New Users

The email invitation that is sent to new users to sign in to Standard Editions of Concur Expense, Invoice and Request will soon be updated. The email invitation is an optional feature that can be sent to new and existing users from the Users page in Product Settings.

The email invitation changes include the following benefits:

  • Improved link location so users can easily find the link to sign in to SAP Concur products and change their password

  • Clarified text and formatting changes

This change will be available to new and existing clients.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: This change will improve the usability of the email invitation for users by providing clear, concise instructions to sign in and change the password when signing in to the product for the first time.
