PNR Finishing – Sabre Profiles ID

Based on increase movement to using Sabre Profiles, with this release, we are happy to announce support of the Sabre Profiles ID via the PNR Finisher.

User/Customer Benefit: Support of Sabre Profiles ID in the PNR Finisher will allow customers/TMCs to add the Sabre Profile ID to the PNR via finishing when they are not able to add it via a profile move.

**COMING SOON** Branded Fares Rule Part and Rule

Customers would like to configure flight policy based on the new branded fares coming into the Concur Travel. As Concur increases support for branded fares, the travel policy rule will be kept up-to-date to include new fares.

User/Customer Benefit: Configuring flight policy around branded fares will allow travel administrators to manage fares available to travellers and potentially avoid change fees as the result of choosing a nonrefundable lower fare.

Flight

**COMING SOON** American Airlines Choice Fares to be Discontinued on 6 December, 2016

American Airlines has offered additional fare options for travel in the main cabin within the continental United States, with the introduction of the Choice Essential and Choice Plus fare options. These fare options provide specific features such as no change fee, preferred boarding, checked baggage and more.

American Airlines has announced that the Choice Essential and Choice Plus fare offerings will no longer be available as of 6 December, 2016.

Web Fares

Mandatory User Login for Ryanair

Ryanair has started to introduce mandatory user login for the Irish market as of 1 November, 2016. The reason for this is that they want to encourage users to book on their website instead of using screen-scraping tools.

Copy this link to your browser for more information: http://corporate.ryanair.com/news/news/161025-ryanair-to-introduce-automatic-my-ryanair-membership-from-november/?market=ie

Since Travelfusion does not obtain Ryanair content from point-of-sale/Ireland, it currently does not affect Concur users. However, this can change anytime Ryanair extends mandatory user login to other countries.

Hotel

Hotel Results Updates

Concur has updated the hotel results page to match recent updates on the Flight and Train results pages. Updates include:
  • Hotel Name Search has moved to the left side of the page

  • Sort options has moved the centre of the page

Customer Benefit: These updates make the search and filter options easier for a user/arranger to discover. These updates also match changes made for Air/Train.

Remove Hotel Rate Code

As part of the hotel design updates, we have removed the hotel room rate code from the user interface.

Customer Benefit: Hotel room rate code does not provide any relevance to the average traveller and is strictly a GDS code. Removing this provides a cleaner view of the room option.

**COMING SOON** Hotel Recommendations

With the December release, each hotel listing will indicate if a traveller or anyone in the traveller's organisation/company has stayed at that hotel previously. This matches the feature that already exists in Mobile today.

User/Customer Benefit: This feature is beneficial in many ways. Hotel recommendations provide relevant information to the user/arranger and help provide context for making the best hotel choice. If a traveller is visiting a location they have never been to before, knowing where co-workers have stayed will be helpful. Also, arrangers may not have the history of where their traveller has stayed in the past, and now they will.

**COMING SOON** Auto-Cancel if Hotel Service Segment is a Part of the Trip

Currently, if a Hotel Service supplier (as defined in the Hotel Service TSG) hotel reservation segment is a part of the trip, the trip cannot be auto-cancelled in these cases: trip unfinished by the user, trip on hold time-out, trip rejected by the manager, trip not approved in time by the manager.

With the December release, these exceptions will be removed; auto-cancel will work the same for Hotel Service suppliers as for GDS hotels – based on the client configuration.

Train

**COMING SOON** Sabre - Rail Carrier 2A (Deutsche Bahn) Changing Structure of Passive Segment and Must be Updated for Parsing by 11 December, 2016

The new structure of the PNR will be introduced for the Deutsche Bahn data merged to Sabre PNR. Changes are within the RAL GK segments, OSI lines, Remarks and Accounting lines. If your front-end application or/and back-office system is currently using the Sabre PNR with merged data from the Deutsche Bahn PNR, please make the appropriate changes before the implementation date. For additional specifications, please review the Sabre Advanced Notification #8964.

Profile

**COMING SOON** XML Profile Sync Moves to Deprecated State 1 January, 2017

Starting in the October release, XML Profile Sync will move into a deprecated state. Moving to a deprecated state means that Concur will address only mission-critical issues between January and June 2017. After June 2017, Concur will no longer support XML Profile Sync as a way to synchronise profile data with Concur.

Miscellaneous

Preference Level Supplier Name Changes

Based on feedback after the June release, Concur updated the naming convention for preferred suppliers:
  • Air preferences changed from Supplier to Airline
  • Train preferences changed from Supplier to Train Service
  • Car preferences changed from Supplier to Car Supplier
  • Hotel Chain preferences changed from Supplier to Hotel Chain
  • Hotel Property preferences remain the same as Hotel

For example, today we show Preferred Supplier for Concur when there is an Air preference. With this release, it will show Preferred Airline for Concur.

Customer/TMC Benefit: These updates make the messaging more targeted to the segment type and calls out the difference between hotel property and hotel chain preferences.

**Coming Soon** Support for TLS v 1.0 Encryption Protocol to End March of 2017

Concur announces an End of Support (March 2017) cycle for version 1.0 of the TLS encryption protocol, continuing support for the more secure 1.1 and 1.2 versions of TLS. As background, the TLS protocol allows secure back and forth communications between a phone or computer and a cloud-based service. Note that, since less than 1% of Concur users are logging in to Concur Solutions using browsers or phones limited to version 1.0, a very small number of users are affected by this support discontinuation.

Business Purpose / Client Benefit: Concur is taking this step after careful consideration of both the client’s security and ease of upgrade to the newer, more secure 1.1 and 1.2 versions of TLS. This end of life plan for TLS v 1.0 ensures our clients are communicating with Concur services in a safe and secure manner using TLS v. 1.1 and newer.
