November 2017 Mobile Professional Edition Admin Summary
Last Update: 9 December 2017
**Planned Changes** Windows Phone / BlackBerry – Support Discontinued as of 31 January 2018
Concur will end support for the Concur mobile app on the Windows Phone and BlackBerry on 31 January 2018. On that date, the app will no longer be updated for either platform nor will it be possible for new users to download it.
As the use of Windows Phones and BlackBerry devices has declined in the marketplace, usage of the Concur mobile app on those devices has also dramatically decreased in the past year. As a result, Concur decided to make this change in order to focus its time, efforts and resources on the areas that best assist customers in solving their business challenges.
Users with Windows Phones and BlackBerry devices are encouraged to use the desktop web version of Concur.
Android / iPhone / iPad – ExpenseIt Link Removed from Menu
Since ExpenseIt will be integrated into mobile, the ExpenseIt link has been removed from the menu.
Android / iPhone / iPad – Image Support
IMPORTANT!!!!As of 12 November, Concur discontinued support for a set of imaging APIs, which will affect a user's ability to view receipts/attachments associated with an expense claim header in versions 9.43 and below.
If you are still using 9.43 or below, please upgrade the mobile app from the Appstore / Google Play Store.
iPhone / iPad – Improved Data Security
To improve data security for all users, we have added additional encryption measures to protect your information.
More information will be provided with the December release notes.
iPhone / iPad – Language Changes for Portuguese
The only variant of Portuguese available in mobile is Brazilian Portuguese. However, on iOS devices, Brazilian Portuguese was also being displayed when users had their devices set to “Portuguese” Portuguese.
With this release, we have prevented Brazilian Portuguese from being displayed under these circumstances. When users choose Portuguese Portuguese, they will no longer see any Portuguese at all. Instead, the device will use the preferred language list in the device's settings to determine the language that the app is displayed in.
As a result, starting with the release, users must ensure that their devices are switched to Brazilian Portuguese in order to see the app in Portuguese.
Note the following:
- This behaviour is only enabled for devices using iOS10 or later.
- Users still using iOS9 will still get the incorrect variant of Portuguese if their device is switched to Portuguese Portuguese.
Android – Expense Detail Screen Redesigned
The Expense screen has been redesigned for better user experience.
