Creating Apps in SAP Build

SAP Build provides a turnkey environment for coding, testing, integrating, and managing the application lifecycle. It also provides a single-entry point for projects – SAP Build Lobby. This documentation will guide you through the steps to follow for creating and managing a Mobile Development Kit application from the SAP Build Lobby and continue the development using the Storyboard feature in SAP Business Application Studio.

Developing Mobile Development Kit Applications Using SAP Build

Prerequisites

Make sure that your administrator has set up the system with the required roles and entitlements as described in Initial Setup.

Creating a New Project

  1. Navigate to your subaccount in the SAP Business Technology Platform cockpit.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Services > Instances and Subscriptions.
  3. Under Subscriptions, click SAP Build Code. The SAP Build lobby opens up.
  4. In the SAP Build Lobby, click Create > Create to start the creation process.
  5. Click Application tile and choose Next.
  6. Select the Mobile category and choose Next.
  7. Select the Mobile Application to develop your mobile project in SAP Business Application Studio and choose Next.
  8. Fill your project details and select an existing Mobile Application dev space from the dropdown list. Click Review. If there is no Mobile Application dev space configured, a new dev space will be automatically created for the project.
  9. Review the inputs under the Summary tab. If everything looks correct, click Create to proceed with creating your project.
  10. Once the project is created, click on it to open it in SAP Business Application Studio storyboard to add a mobile services app to the project and configure it.
